By accessing or using PitchAssist ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you and Steinke Labs.
PitchAssist is a coaching tool that helps youth soccer coaches create and optimize player rotation schedules using a simulated annealing algorithm. The App provides schedule generation, player management, and team organization features.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use PitchAssist. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms. The App is intended for use by coaches, team managers, and sports administrators.

You retain ownership of the data you enter into PitchAssist (team names, player information, schedules, etc.). By using the App, you grant Steinke Labs a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
You are responsible for ensuring that any data you enter — including player names and information — is appropriate and that you have the right to use it within the App.
PitchAssist uses a mathematical optimization algorithm (simulated annealing) to generate rotation schedules. While we strive to produce high-quality, fair schedules, the App is a decision-support tool. Final scheduling decisions remain your responsibility as the coach. We do not guarantee that generated schedules will be optimal for every situation.
The App, including its design, algorithms, code, graphics, and content (excluding your data), is the property of Steinke Labs and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written consent.
PitchAssist uses Google Firebase for authentication, data storage, and hosting. Your use of the App is also subject to Google's Terms of Service. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party service providers.
PitchAssist is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Steinke Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Steinke Labs and its affiliates from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to PitchAssist at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, third parties, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at pitchassist.app@gmail.com.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ohio.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date above. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
